✧ I entered upon Wathila bin Al-Asqa' while he was with some people, and they mentioned Ali. When they stood up, he said to me, "Shall I not inform you of what I saw from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" I said, "Yes." He said, "I went to Fatimah to ask her about Ali." She said, "He has gone to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." So I sat waiting for him until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came with Ali, Hasan, and Husayn, each holding one of their hands, until they entered. He brought Ali and Fatimah closer and seated them in front of him, and seated Hasan and Husayn on his knees, then wrapped them with his cloak or said garment. Then he recited this verse: {Indeed, Allah intends to remove impurity from you, O people of the [Prophet’s] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification} (Al-Ahzab 33). And he said, "O Allah, these are my household (Ahl al-Bayt), and my household are more deserving."
