✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent the army of Dhat al-Salasil. He appointed Abu Ubaydah over the Muhajirun and Amr b. al-As over the Bedouins, and said to them, 'Cooperate with one another.' They were ordered to raid Bakr. Amr set out and raided Qudaah instead, because Bakr were his maternal uncles. Al-Mughirah b. Shuba went to Abu Ubaydah and said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed you over us, but the son of so-and-so has taken command of the people, and you have no authority with him.' Abu Ubaydah said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered us to cooperate with one another, so I will obey the Messenger of Allah ﷺ even if Amr disobeys him.'
