حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ
إِنَّمَا أَنَا مُبَلِّغٌ، وَاللهُ يَهْدِي، وَقَاسِمٌ وَاللهُ يُعْطِي، فَمَنْ بَلَغَهُ مِنِّي شَيْءٌ بِحُسْنِ رَغْبَةٍ وَحُسْنِ هَدْيٍ، فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِيهِ، وَمَنْ بَلَغَهُ مِنِّي شَيْءٌ بِسُوءِ رَغْبَةٍ وَسُوءِ هَدْيٍ فَذَاكَ الَّذِي يَأْكُلُ وَلَا يَشْبَعُ
Translation

✧ I am only a conveyer, and Allah guides; and a divider, and Allah gives. So whoever receives something from me with good desire and good guidance, that is the one for whom it will be blessed. And whoever receives something from me with bad desire and bad guidance, that is the one who eats but is not satisfied.
