حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ
أَنَّهُ رَأَى أُنَاسًا يُصَلُّونَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّكُمْ لَتُصَلُّونَ صَلَاةً قَدْ صَحِبْنَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَمَا رَأَيْنَاهُ يُصَلِّيهَا، وَلَقَدْ نَهَى عَنْهَا
Translation

✧ He saw some people praying after ʿAsr, so he said: 'You are praying a prayer that we accompanied the Prophet ﷺ and never saw him pray it, and he indeed forbade it.'
