✧ I heard Muʿāwiyah, who narrated little from the Prophet ﷺ—and he seldom gave a sermon without mentioning this hadith—say: "I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'This wealth is sweet and green. Whoever takes it with its right, God, Mighty and Majestic, blesses him in it. Whoever God intends good for, He gives him understanding in the religion. Beware of praise, for it is slaughter.'"
