حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ الشَّهِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ دَخَلَ بَيْتًا فِيهِ ابْنُ عَامِرٍ وَابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَامَ ابْنُ عَامِرٍ وَجَلَسَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ اجْلِسْ فَإِنِّي
أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ دَخَلَ بَيْتًا فِيهِ ابْنُ عَامِرٍ وَابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، فَقَامَ ابْنُ عَامِرٍ وَجَلَسَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، فَقَالَ [لَهُ] مُعَاوِيَةُ: اجْلِسْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَمْثُلَ لَهُ الْعِبَادُ قِيَامًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ بَيْتًا فِي النَّارِ

✧ Muʿāwiyah entered a house in which Ibn ʿĀmir and Ibn al-Zubayr were present. Ibn ʿĀmir stood up while Ibn al-Zubayr remained seated. Muʿāwiyah said to him: Sit, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever likes men to stand up for him, let him take his seat in the Fire.
