حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسٌ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ

أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَرْبٍ أَخَذَ مِنْ أَطْرَافِ - يَعْنِي - شَعَرَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي أَيَّامِ الْعَشْرِ، بِمِشْقَصٍ مَعِي، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، وَالنَّاسُ يُنْكِرُونَ ذَلِكَ

Translation

✧ Mu'awiyah b. Abi Sufyan b. Harb cut from the ends — meaning — of the Prophet's ﷺ hair during the ten days [of Hajj], with a blade I had, while he was in ihram; and the people disapproved of that.
