✧ They entered with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the house of Maymunah. A roasted dabb was brought, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached for it. One of the women said: 'Tell the Messenger of Allah ﷺ what he is about to eat.' They said: 'It is a dabb, O Messenger of Allah.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ withdrew his hand. I said: 'Is it forbidden, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'No, but it was not in the land of my people, and I find myself averse to it.' Khalid said: 'So I pulled it and ate it while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was watching.'
