✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came out to them one morning in a cheerful mood, with a bright face—or radiant face—so we said, "O Prophet of God, we see you in a cheerful mood, with a bright face—or radiant face." He said, "What would prevent me when my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, came to me tonight in the most beautiful form and said, 'O Muhammad!' I said, 'At Your service, my Lord, and at Your command.' He said, 'About what do the highest assembly dispute?' I said, 'I do not know, my Lord.' He said that twice or thrice. Then He placed His palms between my shoulders, and I felt their coolness between my breasts until there was unveiled to me what is in the heavens and the earth. Then he recited this verse: 'And thus We showed Abraham the dominion of the heavens and the earth, that he might be of those who are certain' (Qurʾān 6:75). Then He said, 'O Muhammad, about what do the highest assembly dispute?' I said, 'About expiations.' He said, 'And what are expiations?' I said, 'Walking on foot to Friday prayers, sitting in the mosque after the prayers, and completing ablution in difficult circumstances.' He said, 'Whoever does that lives in good and dies in good, and is as free from his sins as the day his mother bore him. And among the ranks are good speech, spreading peace, feeding food, and praying at night while people sleep.' He said, 'O Muhammad, when you pray, say: O God, I ask You for good things, the abandonment of evil things, love for the poor, and that You accept my repentance. And if You intend trial among people, take me to You without being tried.'"
