✧ Tell me something you heard from your father that he heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the month of Ramadan. He said: Yes, my father told me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said: “Allah, Mighty and Majestic, made the fast of Ramadan obligatory, and I established its standing in prayer. Whoever fasts it and stands in prayer in it out of faith and seeking reward, will come out of his sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him.”

machine translationIt is not authentic (lam yaṣiḥḥ). The hadith of al-Zuhrī and others, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ).
in مسند أحمد, p. 1666 - Aḥmad ibn Shuʿayb al-Nasāʾī
machine translationThis is a mistake; the correct version is the hadith of Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah.
in مسند أحمد, p. 1666 - al-Bukhari
machine translationThis hadith of his, from Abū Salamah, from his father, is not authentic (lam yaṣiḥḥ). Al-Zuhrī, Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr and Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd said: from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, and this is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ).
in مسند أحمد, p. 1666 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationAl-Naḍr b. Shaybān narrates it from Abū Salamah, from his father. Naṣr b. ʿAlī al-Jahḍamī al-Akbar, Abū ʿAqīl al-Dawraqī Bashīr b. ʿUqbah, and al-Qāsim b. al-Faḍl al-Ḥuddānī narrated it from him. Al-Zuhrī narrated it from Abū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Abū Hurayrah, and he did not mention in it "and I have made its standing in prayer a sunnah for the Muslims"; he only mentioned in it the merit of fasting it. The hadith of al-Zuhrī is closer to being correct.
