حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ
بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَعَ النَّاسِ فِي الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ، ثُمَّ قَعَدْتُ مُتَنَحِّيًا، فَلَمَّا تَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: يَا ابْنَ الْأَكْوَعِ، أَلَا تُبَايِعُ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: قَدْ بَايَعْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ أَيْضًا. قُلْتُ: عَلَامَ بَايَعْتُمْ ؟ قَالَ: عَلَى الْمَوْتِ
Translation

✧ I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ along with the people at al-Hudaybiyyah, then I sat down apart. When the people dispersed from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: 'O Ibn al-Akwaʿ, will you not pledge allegiance?' He said: I said: 'I have already pledged allegiance, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Again.' I said: 'Upon what did you pledge allegiance?' He said: 'Upon death.'
