✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: I am a man with weak eyesight, and between me and you there is this valley and darkness. I asked him to come and pray in my house so that I could take his prayer place as a prayer place. He promised me to do so. He came with Abu Bakr and Umar, and the Ansar heard of it and came to him. One man among them stayed behind, called Malik b. al-Dukhshun, who was suspected of hypocrisy. They waited for food, and they mentioned him among themselves and said: He did not come with us though he knew that the Messenger of God ﷺ visited us, except because of his hypocrisy. The Messenger of God ﷺ was praying. When he finished, he said: Woe to him! Did he not testify that there is no god but God sincerely? Indeed, God, mighty and majestic, has forbidden the Fire for the one who testifies to it.
