حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ هِلالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ
ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ، أُرَاهُ قَالَ: قَدْ يَذْهَبُ فِيهَا النَّاسُ أَسْرَعَ ذَهَابٍ، قَالَ: فَقِيلَ: أَكُلُّهُمْ هَالِكٌ، أَمْ بَعْضُهُمْ؟ قَالَ: حَسْبُهُمْ ( أَوْ بِحَسْبِهِمُ ) الْقَتْلُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned tribulations like patches of dark night. I think he said: “People will be swept away in them faster than any sweeping.” He said: It was said, “Will all of them perish, or some of them?” He said: “Enough for them—or sufficient for them—is the killing.”
