حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ وَبَهْزٌ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَكِيعَ بْنَ حُدَسٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ
رُؤْيَا الْمُؤْمِنِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ، وَهِيَ عَلَى رِجْلِ طَائِرٍ مَا لَمْ يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا، فَإِذَا حَدَّثَ بِهَا سَقَطَتْ " وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: " لَا يُحَدِّثُ بِهَا إِلَّا حَبِيبًا أَوْ لَبِيبًا ".

✧ The dream of a believer is one of forty parts of prophethood. It is on the wing of a bird as long as he does not relate it. When he relates it, it falls.” And I think he said: “He should not relate it except to a loved one or an intelligent one.”
