✧ From Ra'ita, the wife of Abdullah b. Mas'ud and mother of his child, who was a skilled craftswoman. He said: She used to spend on him and on his child from her craft. She said: I said to Abdullah b. Mas'ud: You and your child have kept me busy from charity, so I cannot give charity with you in anything. Abdullah said to her: By God, I would not like you to do it if there were no reward in that. She came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, I am a woman with a craft from which I sell, and I have no provision for myself, my child, or my husband other than it. They have kept me busy from charity, so I cannot give charity in anything. Is there any reward for me in what I spend? He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said to her: Spend on them, for you have the reward of what you spend on them.
