حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ: إِنَّا نَأْكُلُ وَمَا نَشْبَعُ، قَالَ: فَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَأْكُلُونَ مُفْتَرِقِينَ، اجْتَمِعُوا عَلَى طَعَامِكُمْ، وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللهِ [تَعَالَى] عَلَيْهِ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ

Translation

✧ A man said to the Prophet ﷺ: We eat but are not satisfied. He said: Perhaps you eat separately. Gather together over your food and mention the name of God [the Exalted] over it, and you will be blessed in it.
