✧ While I was sitting with the Messenger of God ﷺ, a man of the Ansar came to him and said: "O Messenger of God, is there anything left of my duty of kindness to my parents after their death that I should do for them?" He said: "Yes, four traits: praying for them, asking forgiveness for them, fulfilling their promises, honoring their friends, and maintaining the ties of kinship that you have only through them. This is what remains upon you of kindness to them after their death."
