✧ A Man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ مُرَّةَ الطَّيِّبِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي غُرْفَتِي هَذِهِ حَسِبْتُ قَالَ
خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ حَمْرَاءَ مُخَضْرَمَةٍ، فَقَالَ: هَذَا يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ، وَهَذَا يَوْمُ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us on the Day of Sacrifice on a reddish she-camel with a clipped ear, and said: 'This is the Day of Sacrifice, and this is the day of the greater pilgrimage.'
