✧ I came with Zayd b. Hasan, and between us was Ibn Rumāna, the freed slave of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Marwān. We had set up our arms for him, and he was leaning on them inside the mosque, the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. In it was Ibn Niyār, a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He sent to Abū Bakr: 'Come to me.' So he came to him, and he said: 'I saw Ibn Rumāna between you two, leaning on you and on Zayd b. Hasan. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: The world will not pass away until it belongs to Lukāʿ b. Lukāʿ (a vile, lowly person).'
