✧ Suwayd bin al-Nu'man

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ بُشَيْرَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُوَيْدَ بْنَ النُّعْمَانِ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ عِنْدَهُمْ طَعَامٌ. قَالَ: فَأُوتُوا بِسَوِيقٍ فَلَاكُوا مِنْهُ وَشَرِبُوا مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ أُوتُوا بِمَاءٍ فَمَضْمَضُوا، ثُمَّ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on a journey and they had no food. He said: Some sawiq was brought, and they chewed from it and drank from it. Then water was brought, and they rinsed their mouths. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and prayed.
