✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was intending a military expedition, I and a man from my people, and we had not become Muslims. We said: We feel ashamed that our people should witness a scene without us witnessing it with them. He said: Have you two become Muslims? We said: No. He said: We do not seek help from the polytheists against the polytheists! He said: So we became Muslims and witnessed it with him. I killed a man, and he struck me with a blow, and I married his daughter after that. She used to say: May you not lack a man who fastened this sash on you! I would say: May you not lack a man who hastened your father to the Fire.
