حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا شُعْبَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا لَطَمَ جَارِيَةً لِآلِ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ سُوَيْدٌ: أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الصُّورَةَ مُحَرَّمَةٌ ؟ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي سَابِعَ سَبْعَةٍ مَعَ إِخْوَتِي وَمَا لَنَا إِلَّا خَادِمٌ وَاحِدٌ، فَلَطَمَهُ أَحَدُنَا فَأَمَرَنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ نُعْتِقَهُ

✧ A man slapped a slave girl belonging to the family of Suwayd b. Muqarrin, and Suwayd said to him: Do you not know that striking the face is forbidden? I have seen myself as one of seven among my brothers, and we had only one servant. One of us slapped her, and the Prophet ﷺ ordered us to free her.
