✧ We camped at the fortress of Sinan in the land of the Romans with Abdullah b. Abd al-Malik. The people made the camps narrow and cut off the road. Muadh said: 'O people, we went on a campaign with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, such-and-such a campaign. The people made the road narrow, so the Prophet ﷺ sent a caller who announced: Whoever narrows a camp or cuts off a road, there is no jihad for him.'
