حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُجَمِّعُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُجَمِّعِ ابْنِ جَارِيَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ الْقُرَّاءِ الَّذِينَ قَرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ
شَهِدْنَا الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفْنَا عَنْهَا إِذَا النَّاسُ يُنْفِرُونَ الْأَبَاعِرَ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: مَا لِلنَّاسِ ؟ قَالُوا: أُوحِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَخَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّاسِ نُوجِفُ، حَتَّى وَجَدْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ عِنْدَ كُرَاعِ الْغَمِيمِ وَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَرَأَ عَلَيْهِمْ: إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ: أَيْ رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَفَتْحٌ هُوَ ؟ قَالَ: إِي، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ، إِنَّهُ لَفَتْحٌ. فَقُسِمَتْ خَيْبَرُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ، لَمْ يُدْخِلْ مَعَهُمْ فِيهَا أَحَدًا إِلَّا مَنْ شَهِدَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ، فَقَسَمَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ سَهْمًا، وَكَانَ الْجَيْشُ أَلْفًا وَخَمْسَمِائَةٍ، فِيهِمْ ثَلَاثُمِائَةِ فَارِسٍ، فَأَعْطَى الْفَارِسَ سَهْمَيْنِ وَأَعْطَى الرَّاجِلَ سَهْمًا

✧ We witnessed al-Ḥudaybiyyah, and when we left it, suddenly the people were startling the camels. The people said to one another: “What is wrong with the people?” They said: “It was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” So we went out with the people, urging our mounts on, until we found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on his riding camel at Kurāʿ al-Ghamīm, and the people gathered around him. He recited to them: “Indeed, We have granted you a clear conquest” [Qur’an 48:1]. A man among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “O Messenger of Allah, is it a conquest?” He said: “Yes, by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muḥammad, it is indeed a conquest.” Khaybar was divided among the people of al-Ḥudaybiyyah; he did not include with them in it anyone except those who had witnessed al-Ḥudaybiyyah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided it into eighteen shares, and the army was one thousand five hundred, among them three hundred horsemen. He gave the horseman two shares and the foot soldier one share.
