✧ "Muhammad ﷺ was the most beloved man to me among the people during the time of ignorance. When he received prophethood and migrated to Medina, Hakim ibn Hizam witnessed the season (of buying and selling) while he was still a disbeliever. He found a necklace being sold, so he bought it for fifty dinars to give it as a gift to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He brought it to him in Medina and wanted to give it to him as a gift. However, the Prophet ﷺ refused and said, 'I thought that we do not accept anything from idolaters. But if you wish, I will buy it from you at its price.' So, I gave it to him when he insisted on paying for the gift."
