حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ

رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا آخُذُ اللَّحْمَ عَنِ الْعَظْمِ بِيَدِي، فَقَالَ: يَا صَفْوَانُ، قُلْتُ: لَبَّيْكَ، قَالَ: قَرِّبِ اللَّحْمَ مِنْ فِيكَ، فَإِنَّهُ أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw me taking meat off the bone with my hand. He said: 'O Safwan.' I said: 'At your service.' He said: 'Bring the meat close to your mouth, for it is more wholesome and more pleasant.'
