✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: O Ka'b b. 'Ujrah, I seek refuge for you with God from the rule of fools. He said: And what is that, O Messenger of God? He said: Rulers who will come after me. Whoever enters upon them and confirms them in their talk and helps them in their wrongdoing is not of me, and I am not of him, and they will not come to me at the pool. And whoever does not enter upon them, does not confirm them in their talk, and does not help them in their wrongdoing - those are of me, and I am of them, and those will come to me at the pool. O Ka'b b. 'Ujrah, prayer is an offering, fasting is a shield, and charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire. O Ka'b b. 'Ujrah, no one whose flesh grows from ill-gotten gain will enter Paradise; the Fire is more fitting for him. O Ka'b b. 'Ujrah, people go out in the morning in two ways: one who goes out selling himself and destroying his own neck, and one who goes out buying himself and freeing his own neck.
