✧ My father was killed on the day of Uhud and left two gardens, while a Jew had dates owed to him, and the Jew's dates would consume all that was in the two gardens. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: "Would you accept some this year and defer some to next year?" He refused. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When the harvest comes, notify me." He said: So I notified him, and the Prophet ﷺ came with Abu Bakr and Umar. We began harvesting, and dates were measured out for him from the lower part of the palm trees while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was supplicating for blessing, until we paid him his entire due from the smaller of the two gardens, as Ammar estimated. Then we brought them fresh dates and water, and they ate and drank. Then he said: "This is part of the bliss about which you will be questioned."
