✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fought Muharib b. Khasafah. Then a man from them called Ghawrath b. al-Harith came and stood over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a sword and said: Who will protect you from me? He said: Allah, Mighty and Majestic. Then the sword fell from his hand, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and said: Who will protect you from me? He said: Be the best of captors. He said: Will you testify that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah? He said: No, but I will covenant with you that I will not fight you, nor be with people who fight you. So he let him go. He went to his people and said: I have come to you from the best of people. When the time for prayer came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the prayer of fear. The people became two groups: one group facing the enemy and one group praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He prayed two rak'ahs with the group that was with him, then they departed and took the place of those facing the enemy. Then those facing the enemy came and prayed two rak'ahs with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed four rak'ahs, and the people prayed two rak'ahs each.
