✧ When you are in fertile land, give the mounts their due in grazing, and do not pass by the waystations; and when you are in barren land, hasten the journey, and keep to night travel, for the earth is folded up by night. If the ghouls appear to you, hasten to the call to prayer, and do not pray on the main roads or camp on them, for they are the abode of snakes and beasts of prey, and do not relieve yourselves on them, for they are places of cursing.
