حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي بْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ أخْبَرَهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَضَى أَنَّهُ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ رَجُلًا عُمْرَى لَهُ وَلِعَقِبِهِ فَإِنَّهَا لِلَّذِي يُعْمَرُهَا قَدْ بَتَّهَا مِنْ صَاحِبِهَا الَّذِي أَعْمَرَهَا مَا وَقَعَ مِنْ مَوَارِيثِ اللهِ وَحَقِّهِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ ruled that whoever gives a man a life grant for himself and his descendants, it belongs to the one to whom it is given, and he has severed it from its owner who gave it, according to what falls from God's inheritance laws and His right.
