✧ My eyes saw and my ears heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Ji'ranah, while in Bilal's garment there was silver, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taking it and giving it to the people. A man said: 'Be just.' He said: 'Woe to you! Who will be just if I am not just?' Umar b. al-Khattab said: 'O Messenger of Allah, let me kill this wicked hypocrite.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah forbid that people should say that I kill my companions. This man and his companions recite the Qur'an, but it does not go beyond their collarbones. They pass out of the religion as the arrow passes through the game.'
