حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ وَقَالَ ابْنُ مُصْعَبٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
كَانَتْ لِرِجَالٍ فُضُولُ أَرَضِينَ فَكَانُوا يُؤَاجِرُونَهَا عَلَى الثُّلُثِ وَالرُّبُعِ وَالنِّصْفِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَوْ لِيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ، فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُمْسِكْ أَرْضَهُ
Translation

✧ Some men had surplus lands, so they used to lease them for one-third, one-fourth, and half [of the produce]. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or give it to his brother. If he refuses, then let him keep his land."
