حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ حَتَّى يُعْرِبَ عَنْهُ لِسَانُهُ، فَإِذَا أَعْرَبَ عَنْهُ لِسَانُهُ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

Translation

  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every newborn is born upon Fitrah (natural inclination towards goodness), until their tongue expresses it. Once their tongue expresses it, they will either be grateful or ungrateful."
