✧ I came with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Ji'ranah, and he was distributing silver in the garment of Bilal to the people. A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, be just!" He replied, "Woe to you! Who would be just if I am not just? Indeed, you would go astray if I am not just." 'Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, let me kill this hypocrite!" He said, "May Allah protect me from people saying that I am killing my companions! Verily, he and his companions recite the Qur'an but it does not go beyond their throats or their hearts. They pass through the religion just as an arrow passes through its target."
