✧ On the day of the Confederates, Sa'd b. Mu'adh was shot and they severed his median cubital vein. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cauterized it with fire, but his hand swelled, so he cauterized it again; his hand swelled, so he cauterized it another time; his hand swelled, and he bled him. When he saw that, he said: 'O Allah, do not take my soul until You comfort my eye regarding the Banu Qurayzah.' His vein then held firm and not a drop flowed until they submitted to Sa'd's judgment. He sent for him and he ruled that their men be killed and their women and children be spared so the Muslims could benefit from them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You have hit upon Allah's judgment concerning them.' They numbered four hundred. When the killing of them was finished, his vein burst open and he died.
