حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ بَنَّةَ الْجُهَنِيَّ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ عَلَى قَوْمٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ أَوْ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ يَسُلُّونَ سَيْفًا بَيْنَهُمْ يَتَعَاطَوْنَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ غَيْرَ مَغْمُودٍ، فَقَالَ: لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ، أَوَلَمْ أَزْجُرْكُمْ عَنْ هَذَا؟ فَإِذَا سَلَلْتُمُ السَّيْفَ فَلْيُغْمِدْهُ الرَّجُلُ ثُمَّ لِيُعْطِهِ كَذَلِكَ.

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by some people in the mosque—or in the gathering—who were drawing a sword among themselves, passing it back and forth unsheathed. He said: 'May God curse whoever does that. Did I not forbid you from this? When you draw the sword, let the man sheathe it, then give it like that.'
