حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِشَهْرٍ، فَقَالَ: تَسْأَلُونِي عَنِ السَّاعَةِ، وَإِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] ؟! فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، مَا أَعْلَمُ الْيَوْمَ نَفْسًا مَنْفُوسَةً يَأْتِي عَلَيْهَا مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ.

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked about the Hour a month before he died, and he said: 'You ask me about the Hour, but its knowledge is only with God [Mighty and Majestic]! By the One in Whose hand is my soul, I do not know of any soul alive today that a hundred years will come upon it.'
