حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَتًى شَابٌّ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ أَرْنَبًا فَحَذَفْتُهَا، وَلَمْ تَكُنْ مَعِي حَدِيدَةٌ أُذَكِّيهَا بِهَا، وَإِنِّي ذَكَّيْتُهَا بِمَرْوَةٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: كُلْ.

Translation

✧ A young man from Banū Salimah came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I saw a rabbit and threw a stone at it, and I did not have any iron with which to slaughter it. I slaughtered it with a sharp white stone.' The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Eat it.'
