حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ

طُلِّقَتْ خَالَتِي، فَأَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَجُدَّ نَخْلَهَا، فَزَجَرَهَا رَجُلٌ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ، فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: بَلَى، فَجُدِّي نَخْلَكِ، فَإِنَّكِ عَسَى أَنْ تَصَدَّقِي أَوْ تَفْعَلِي مَعْرُوفًا

Translation

✧ My maternal aunt was divorced, and she wanted to harvest her palm trees, but a man rebuked her for going out. So she came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: Yes, go and harvest your palm trees, for perhaps you will give charity or do some good.
