حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
جِيءَ بِأَبِي قُحَافَةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، وَكَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ ثَغَامَةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: اذْهَبُوا بِهِ إِلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ، فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِشَيْءٍ، وَجَنِّبُوهُ السَّوَادَ.

✧ Abu Quhafah was brought on the day of the conquest to the Prophet ﷺ, and his head was like a white-flowering plant. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Take him to one of his wives, and let her change it with something, and keep him away from black dye.
