✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me, 'Have you married?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'A virgin or a previously married woman?' I said, 'A previously married woman.' He said, 'Why not a virgin, so that you could frolic with her and she could frolic with you?' I said, 'O Messenger of God, my father was killed on the day of Uhud and left seven daughters, and I disliked bringing to them a young inexperienced woman like them. Rather, a woman who can comb their hair and look after them.' He said, 'You have done well.'
