حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ يَعْنِي الْمُعَلِّمَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرٌ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَهَلَّ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ بِالْحَجِّ، وَلَيْسَ مَعَ أَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ هَدْيٌ إِلَّا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَطَلْحَةَ، وَكَانَ عَلِيٌّ قَدِمَ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ وَمَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ، فَقَالَ: أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ. وَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَ أَصْحَابَهُ أَنْ يَجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً: وَيَطَّوَّفُوا، ثُمَّ يُقَصِّرُوا وَيَحِلُّوا، إِلَّا مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ، فَقَالُوا: نَنْطَلِقُ إِلَى مِنًى وَذَكَرُ أَحَدِنَا يَقْطُرُ ! فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: لَوْ أَنِّيَ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا أَهْدَيْتُ، وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِيَ الْهَدْيَ لَأَحْلَلْتُ. وَأَنَّ عَائِشَةَ حَاضَتْ، فَنَسَكَتِ الْمَنَاسِكَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ، فَلَمَّا طَهُرَتْ طَافَتْ، قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَتَنْطَلِقُونَ بِحَجٍّ وَعُمْرَةٍ، وَأَنْطَلِقُ بِالْحَجِّ ؟! فَأَمَرَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مَعَهَا إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ، فَاعْتَمَرَتْ بَعْدَ الْحَجِّ فِي ذِي الْحِجَّةِ. وَأَنَّ سُرَاقَةَ بْنَ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ لَقِيَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْعَقَبَةِ وَهُوَ يَرْمِيهَا، فَقَالَ: أَلَكُمْ هَذِهِ خَاصَّةً يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، بَلْ لِلْأَبَدِ.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions entered ihram for Hajj, and no one among them had a sacrificial animal that day except the Prophet ﷺ and Talha. 'Ali had come from Yemen with a sacrificial animal, and he said: 'I entered ihram for what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered ihram for.' The Prophet ﷺ ordered his companions to make it an 'Umra: to circumambulate, then shorten their hair and exit ihram, except those who had a sacrificial animal. They said: 'Shall we go to Mina with our private parts dripping (semen)?' This reached the Prophet ﷺ, so he said: 'If I had known then what I know now, I would not have brought a sacrificial animal, and had I not had the sacrificial animal with me, I would have exited ihram.' 'A'isha menstruated and performed all the rituals except that she did not circumambulate the Ka'ba. When she became pure, she circumambulated. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, will you set out with both Hajj and 'Umra while I set out with Hajj only?' So he ordered 'Abd al-Rahman to go with her to al-Tan'im, and she performed 'Umra after the Hajj in Dhu al-Hijja. Suraqa b. Malik b. Ju'shum met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-'Aqaba while he was stoning it, and said: 'Is this for you only, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'No, rather it is forever.'
