✧ We arrived with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after four days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah had passed, while we were in iḥrām for Hajj. He commanded us to make it an ʿumrah, and our hearts became constricted by that, and it weighed heavily upon us. When he learned of that, he said, "O people, exit iḥrām. Were it not for the sacrificial animal I have with me, I would do as you are doing." So we did so — even to the extent of having intercourse with women — as a person out of iḥrām does, until when it was the evening of the Day of Tarwiyah — or the Day of Tarwiyah — we put Makkah behind us and entered iḥrām for Hajj.
