✧ I married a woman during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "O Jābir, have you married?" I said, "Yes." He said, "A virgin or a previously married woman?" I said, "A previously married woman." He said, "Why not a virgin, so you could play with her?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have sisters, and I feared that she would come between me and them." He said, "A woman is married for her religion, her wealth, and her beauty; so choose the one with religion, may your hands be dusty."
