✧ The Prophet ﷺ and his companions stayed three days while digging the trench without tasting food. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, here is a hard rock from the mountain.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Sprinkle it with water.” So they sprinkled it. Then the Prophet ﷺ came and took the pickaxe or the shovel and said: “In the name of Allah,” and struck three times, and it became a heap of sand that was being poured. Jābir said: I happened to glance, and there was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a stone tied to his belly.
