✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver the sermon standing by a palm trunk. He said: A woman of the Anṣār who had a carpenter slave said: “O Messenger of Allah, I have a carpenter slave. Shall I order him to make you a pulpit on which you can deliver the sermon?” He said: “Yes.” He said: So he made him a pulpit. He said: When Friday came, he delivered the sermon on the pulpit. He said: The trunk by which he used to stand began to moan like a child. The Prophet ﷺ said: “This one wept for the remembrance it had lost.”
