Musnad Ahmad 14186

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon me while I was ill and not conscious. He performed ablution, then poured water over me—or he said: 'Pour water over me'—and I regained consciousness. I said: 'None will inherit from me except distant relatives; so how is the inheritance?' He said: 'Then the verse of the obligatory shares was revealed.'
