✧ The Prophet ﷺ would not pray over a man who owed a debt. A deceased man was brought to him, and he asked: "Does he owe a debt?" They said: "Yes, two dinars." He said: "Pray over your companion." Abu Qatadah said: "They are upon me, O Messenger of God." So he prayed over him. Then when God, Mighty and Majestic, granted victory to His Messenger ﷺ, he said: "I am more entitled to every believer than his own self. Whoever leaves a debt, it is upon me, and whoever leaves wealth, it is for his heirs."
