حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ يَحْيَى فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ

إِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلَا يَمْشِي فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ حَتَّى يُصْلِحَ شِسْعَهُ، وَلَا يَمْشِي فِي خُفٍّ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَلَا يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ، وَلَا يَحْتَبِي بِالثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ، وَلَا يَلْتَحِفُ الصَّمَّاءَ

Translation

✧ If the strap of one of you breaks, he should not walk in a single sandal until he fixes his strap, nor walk in a single leather sock, nor eat with his left hand, nor wrap himself in a single garment, nor wrap himself in the samma' (a way of wrapping that leaves no opening for the hands).
